Funding your account

MMX is the native coin of the MMX blockchain. Gigahost accounts are funded in MMX: you send MMX from your own wallet to the platform’s deposit address with your account’s memo, and Gigahost credits its US dollar value at the exchange rate in effect.

You need an account key first.

  1. To see the current deposit address, minimum amount, and required confirmations, run:

    ghost account activation-terms
  2. Send one or more native MMX payments to the returned address with your exact 16-character deposit_memo. Their combined confirmed amount needs to reach the activation minimum, so an undersized payment can be followed by another.

  3. Once the payments reach the confirmation minimum, Gigahost normally records them within 10 seconds.

  4. To activate the account and check it, run the commands below. They need no transaction IDs:

    ghost account activate
    ghost account show
    ghost account balance
  • Activation creates the stable account alias and credits every confirmed deposit for the derived memo at the effective MMX/USD exchange rate.
  • Six confirmations are required by default. The current value is the one activation-terms returns.
  • Activation reads only the deposit receipts Gigahost has already recorded and makes no chain query of its own. If the newest receipt has not been recorded yet, a brief wait and a retry of the activation command is enough.
  • Activating an account key whose account exists already returns that account, so a retry is safe.

Amounts are reported in atomic MMX units; one MMX is 1,000,000 atomic units.

Send native MMX to the same published address with your exact current deposit memo. No separate claim command is needed.

  • Gigahost scans every 10 seconds for confirmed deposits and credits them automatically at the effective MMX/USD exchange rate.
  • Gigahost records each confirmed receipt by its MMX transaction ID and memo. A receipt is never credited twice, even after a rescan.
  • A retired memo from an earlier account key remains linked to the same account, although the current memo is the one to use for new payments.
  • On the website, Billing › Deposits (/billing/deposits) lists your MMX deposits and says how to add funds.
  • With ghost, ghost account balance shows your balance and ghost account deposits lists your deposits.

What the balance pays, and what happens when it runs low, is on Pricing and billing.
